2020 HEADS UP!
Hi! Well how things change so quickly! One minute I am saying merry christmas, happy new year, and I hope you are not too affected by bushfires ... and now, well, hang onto your hats. Or your dunny paper ;-)
I have just returned from my first month block of interstate work in Canberra, and spent a couple of days with my Uncle Vic in Wollongong on the way home. Came home exhausted from working most days and some hard yakka murals. BUT I LOVE IT! Thought I would take time from outside commitments for the rest of March and April to work on my business and house stuff that has been so neglected. WELL!!!!! Wouldn't you know, its social distancing time, lucky for us extroverted introverts, I love my cave time. I am not dismissing the severity of what is happening in the world BTW. I have medical peeps in the close circle and we should be worried they say.
Currently - I am booked for May, and July/Aug for interstate school workshops etc. And well I guess we just have to wait and see what happens there. For schools who have booked artwork - THANK YOU!!! I hope you let me continue on this as then I can still get some pay for more rice and dunny paper.
I have fine art reproductions available in various forms/sizes. Happy to chat and steer you to them.
I currently have work hanging in the The "outside In" exhibition at St Vincent's Hospital, Northside (Chermside - the old Holy Spirit)- this is my latest series "All creatures great and small".. which will have reproductions available too. Open to the public (at the moment it still is!!). GO there and check it out!
Classroom Prayer cloths are expanding, and I now have 2 designs in green and purple, plus a red, white/gold, silver/grey and a blue. The new manufacturing team are continuing with the lovely work of my original seamstress, and I am so glad I am getting my cloths designed here (well wherever I am!)... printed here and made here in Brisbane. I realise this means they are more expensive, but I just didn't have the heart to get Indigenous fabric printed and sewn overseas - I want to support local and I hope you understand.
For those signing up to RECEIVE RAMBLINGS - I attempted an email newsletter which failed miserably... I am now fluffing around with MAILCHIMP so I can do newsletters properly!! Bear with the non-IT person lol.... update - I still haven't done this! - and I still haven't!!!!!!!!!!!!... and still haven't.
So whilst work may alter and I might have to stay home, it also means for those of you who always thought you would like some art but thought I was too busy to ask.... ask away!!!
POSTAGE INFO: - for those ordering and requiring postage, you may note it has increased a little. This is so I actually cover the costs of postage - I was very much undercharging!
Stay safe, stay home as much as possible, and support local business where you can. We can get through this together.
Please contact me though with any questions, as sometimes it pays to think outside the box and I never say never :-)
Thank you! xx
